Vertical aerial photography is "looking" straight down on the subject. The photograph can be taken of an area up to 3-4 miles. Larger areas can be taken vertically where the images are "integrated" together digitally. Vertical aerial photography is used when information (to scale) is required and mostly needed for engineering type applications.
